「めぐこ」の支援先であるインドやフィリピンのSMSの子供たちはみんな、驚くほど勉強熱心です。そんな彼らの日記を通じて、日本にいる皆さんにリアルタイムで子供たちのことを知っていただきたい、という想いを込めて、「SMS日記」という連載を始めました。今後も随時更新していく予定です。今回は二人の子供たちの日記をご紹介します。

【ソーシャルワークを学んでいる学生】

Asilo de moloという施設を訪ねた際にお世話になった方です。私たちとあまり年が変わらず、思いも熱い方です。

〈英語〉
Time schedule

Morning:
6:30 – Wake up time
7:00 – Breakfast time
7:30- Hygiene time
8:00-12 noon – Duty as a Student Field worker

Afternoon:
1-5 – Duty as Student Field Worker

Evening
6- Return home and prepare Dinner
6:30 – Hygiene time
7-9 Surfing the net
9 pm – 6-30 am- Sleeping time

I wake up at 6:30 o’clock in the morning then a couple of minutes I’ll gonna fix my bed. At 7:00 most probably I’ll just check if there’s a food in the table and if none, then I’ll go outside and buy. At 7:30 I’ll take a bath and fix my clothes, hygiene, and other stuffs. At 8 I’ll go to Asilo de Molo. Its only 3 minutes walk from my home. I usually spend my time at Asilo from 8:10 in the morning until 12 noon. We will do our tasks as a student field worker. Then, we will take our lunch for only 1 hour then come back at 1 pm and, until 5 we will do the same task as a student field worker. After 5 we will return to our homes. At 5:10 in the afternoon I will change my clothes and prepare dinner. My family eats dinner At 6:30. After dinner I will rest for 30 minutes then I will take a bath and do proper hygiene. At 7-9 pm I usually just surf the internet, especially social media like facebook and instagram.

As a student in the PH

To be a student in the Philippine is an uphill climb. One should be witty and one should be a clever. We all have the right to education, the right to be liberated from the shackles of ignorance. Well, one of the things that other people don’t know about the education in the Philippines is that we are greatly molded by our teachers. We don’t only focus on the four-walled classroom and deal with pile of books. Our teachers ensure that we will have a knowledge to be a person that is capable to enter the corporate world. They attentively prepares for the lesson they’re going to tackle for a noble reasons. I believe every students in the Philippines has the passion to graduate and be on the limelight. We all have dreams, desires and ambition. As a student of the Philippines, we will never give up until we achieve our goals. We will persevere, endure and knock down the barriers that are keeping us from making our dreams come true. All together, we will make contribution in the society.

6:30に起きてベッドをたたむ。7:00に食卓に朝食があるかどうかを確認して、なかったら外に買いに行く。7:30にシャワーを浴び、身支度をする。8:00のアシロ・デ・モロに向かう。家から歩いてたったの3分しかかからない。ぼくはふだん、8:10から12:00までアシロで時間を過ごす。そこで、学生の現業員としての仕事を行う。そして一時間の昼食をとったあとに13:00~17:00まで同じ仕事をする。17:00のあとに家に帰る。17:10に服を着替えて、夕食の準備を始める。ぼくの家族は18:30に夕食を食べる。夕食後、30分程休んでからシャワーを浴び、支度をする。19:00~21:00にはよくfacebookやinstagramのようなSNSをチェックする。

フィリピンの学生として．．．
フィリピンで学生としているのはとても大変である。気の利いた人でいなくてはならない一方で賢くなくてはならない。ぼくたちは教育を受ける権利を持っている。無学の束縛からの自由を得ることができる権利だ。フィリピンでの教育について多くの人が知らないことは、先生たちがぼくたちを非常にいい意味で形作っているということだ。ぼくたちはただ壁に囲まれた教室や大量の本に焦点を当てていない。先生たちは、ぼくたちが社会に入っていけるような可能な知識を持っていることを保証してくれている。彼らはていねいに授業のための準備をし、すごく親切に対応してくれる。ぼくは全てのフィリピンの学生は卒業したい、という熱い想いをもっていることを信じている。ぼくたちはみな、夢、切望、熱望をもっている。フィリピンの学生として、目標を達成してもなお何事に関してもあきらめてはならないと思う。ぼくたちは頑張り通し、耐え、ぼくたちが夢を叶おうとするときにあらわれる壁を壊していくべきだ。みんなで一緒に社会に貢献ができるはずだ。
